Thick trailing leaves and yellow flowers. Fairly long, Early spring bloom, then seed pods are interesting for a while.


Garden Notes: Blue Spurge can get a little ragged for a time midsummer, but it looks very nice from fall through spring. It has succulent type-evergreen leaves that hug the ground. It has reseeded itself a little in my garden, but it is very easy to remove unwanted plants.

Deciduos shrub/multi-trunked small tree if shaped. Yellow fall color, fast growth with water& N when young, regular deep watering.


Garden Notes: New Mexico Privet is a nice, drought tolerant shrub. Occasional water can help appearance, but is rarely a necessity. It is one of those plants that will survive, looking nice all the while with little additional water. With little additional water it stays smaller.

Garden Notes: This is another tough panhandle native. It is not particularly showy at any time, but is nice addition to the drier areas of your yard. No additional water is needed once established. It will produce volunteers here and there. No maintenance is required. may want to shear to ground in spring.

Garden Notes: Candytuft is becoming one of my more appreciated plants. It does not bloom for a long time in the spring, but it is low maintenance with nice, dense,deep green, evergreen leaves.
