Deepest blue Needs good drainage, compact clay is deadly. Mix in course compost. Garden Notes: Hidcote Blue grows a little slower and not as tall and showy as 'Provence', 'Dutch', or 'Grosso', but it seems a little hardier overall. It provides a great grey in the garden when not in bloom.

Gray-green leaves, slightly cupped. Give good drainage. Do not shear into hedge, but can prune branches back hard. Garden Notes: Shearing reduces blooms of Leucophyllums. Shear branches back hard in spring if needed to rejuvenate older plants. They will be bare for a short time, but will recover quickly.

Sky blue, morning bloom. Vase shaped. cut back old growth in early spring. After 3 to 4 years plants die out, but reseeds for new plants. Garden Notes: Plan on having this plant around for three to four years. It eventually dies out but you should be able to see new plants coming on from seedlings; sometimes in surrounding grass which are harder to remove. It has bright blue blooms every morning in spring for several weeks.
