Deciduos shrub/multi-trunked small tree if shaped. Yellow fall color, fast growth with water& N when young, regular deep watering.


Garden Notes: New Mexico Privet is a nice, drought tolerant shrub. Occasional water can help appearance, but is rarely a necessity. It is one of those plants that will survive, looking nice all the while with little additional water. With little additional water it stays smaller.

Nice small shrub. Considerable drought tolerance, long bloom period. Cut back to 1/3 its height in spring to encourage heaviest bloom.


Garden Notes: Somewhat short-lived shrub. Can die for no apparent reason. Very long bloom season and neat appearance until that time makes it a shrub worth growing.

Garden Notes: This variety is seed grown- collected from plants that have been growing locally. It is the fastest growing, most robust variety I have. It does very well with minimal water once established. Water deeply when watering. Great for a variety of butterflies.
