Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Avalanche' - Feather Reed Grass 'Avalanche'

Basically a variegated form of Karl Foerster. Appreciates light afternoon shade. Dries down to tan after summer for winter interest. Cool season grass. Looks good earlier in spring/ summer than some ornamental grasses. Leave uncut until it starts to green up in late winter for texture in the winter garden- then thin out as much of the old dead leaves from the clump as possible so the sun can penetrate.
