It is a vigorous spreader. Plant in a way that it can be contained by itself. It will try to take over anything small planted nearby and will keep spreading by its roots until it reaches a barrier. Shear blooms to keep from reseeding. Keep by itself in an “island bed” where you can control the water to JUST the small amount of mint you want.
