A good plant for seasoning food. Can also be a host plant for butterflies. This variety of parsley seems to be a better selection for the kitchen herb garden. The butterflies seem to leave it alone more and lay their eggs on the Triple Curled variety instead. Plant some of both and enjoy the butterflies while eating your Italian food.

Parsley is a biennial. It will produce a lot of green leaves the first year.- The second year it will bloom and go to seed fairly early spring so you will need to replant each year or leave the plant to reseed and get new plants the following year. We have not had to plant new plants in our beds for several years thanks to the volunteer plants we get.
