Deep rooted, heat loving, xeric plant. Grows well in nearly any soil. Dies to ground after first freezes. Cut back to ground in spring. Slowly spreading. Plant where it will be contained in a bed by itself, it can overtake other plants and keep spreading until it hits a deep border.
